The 2026 Home Horticulture Certificate Course is a 14-week virtual program led by URI Cooperative Extension faculty and staff experts. From January 22 to April 30, participants will attend weekly evening Zoom classes, complete practical assignments, and apply concepts through a guided landscape observation and analysis project. Optional in-person field practicums provide additional hands-on training in diagnosing problems in landscape trees and pruning, as well as proper techniques for pruning trees and shrubs.
