Do you ever wonder how to support preschoolers in developing self-regulation, flexible thinking, and increased attention? This workshop will provide participants with an overview of the three dimensions of executive function skills: working memory, inhibitory control, and cognitive flexibility. Participants will gain experience interpreting observations of children in terms of executive function skills, which will help with understanding children’s needs and how to offer appropriate support. The presenter will share research-based strategies for supporting the healthy development of executive function skills along with practical application examples that can be incorporated into curriculum planning.
