The Bangkok Recital

Come join us for a recital of songs that will be performed in Bangkok, Thailand. Baritone Rene de la Garza, Artistic Director of Opera Providence and director of the Opera Workshop program at URI, offers the public a free preview of “The Bangkok Recital”, which he will perform at two venues in Thailand this month.

Songs by Haydn, Schubert, Debussy, Ives, Copland, Jerome Kern, Cole Porter and more will be included. Pianist Laura Hibbard is the accompanist.

In Bangkok, he will be accompanied by Shuenda Wong, a highly-noted Malaysian pianist and soloist.
