In collaboration with various campus departments and offices, and the Melanoma Foundation, the Melanoma Awareness Project will be a high energy and engaging event filled with speakers, vendors and awareness tables regarding melanoma and the dangers of tanning. The need for positive awareness campaigns regarding tanning and safe skin care is critical for the college generation especially since cases of Melanoma increase exponentially each year. Students will help promote awareness of the event prior while advertising the vendor services that will be present as well (spray tanning, skincare, eye care, etc.). They will also attend the event and be asked to bring a friend to extend the awareness.
