Senator Sheldon Whitehouse invites the URI campus community and the general public to an event showcasing scientists whose ability to demystify ocean research has made them leading voices in discussions on conservation policy.
Ocean Explorers Turned Ocean Interpreters
Featured speakers: Carl Safina, award-winning author and founding president of the Blue Ocean Institute; National Geographic Emerging Explorers Katy Croff Bell, a 2011 alumna of the URI Graduate School of Oceanography, and Kakani Katija. The speakers will share their expertise on a subject Senator Whitehouse considers a top priority for our state and our nation.
