"I have eyes on you." I couldn't have made it possible for me to return to college with my injures without my Veterans help. In those early days back in 2014. I was fighting the new enemy that they called TBI and PTSD. My friends and family said "you can't go back to college, you can't even spell your name sometimes and then you will really get depress and talk about suicide My service K-9 call name, Tibby was my life support, she kept me on track and helped me navigator thru the URI campus . I wish I could personally tell you all, my Veterans, Professors and Administrators just how much you helped me in these early years at URI. As for the VA Hospital and my so called friends, I know now I can do this. I can and will always remember how I turned my life around here at the University of Rhode Island because, I "do Think Big." I made the Dean's List last semester, pretty good for and guy with a whole in his head.

URI Student Veteran Family Day
Please join us for the URI Student Veteran Family Day on Saturday, April 29, 2017, at 3 p.m. on the Kingston campus. This event, sponsored by our College and the Office of Student Affairs, provides an opportunity for student veterans to introduce their families to campus life at the University of Rhode Island and to further discuss the support they need from admission to graduation. Student veterans and their families will participate in games and activities, and food will be provided throughout the day.
