A series of community speaking programs on Mondays in August that are free and open to the public. Topics cover a broad array of pertinent state, national and international issues and events. This public lecture series is co-sponsored by the Friends of South Ferry Church, GSO/URI's partner in maintaining the historic South Ferry Church.

Topic: History of Slavery in South County.
8/28 Dwight Coleman, Director of the Inner Space Center (ISC), URI Graduate School of Oceanography
Topic: Leading Research at the URI Oceanographic Inner Space Center, including tours of the ISC. This lecture will be held in the Corless Auditorium in the Watkins Building on the URI Bay Campus.
