August 26 – Roger Mandle – After serving as the President of Rhode Island School of Design from 1993 to 2008, Dr. Mandle was the Executive Director and Chief Officer Museums at Qatar Museums Authority from 2008 to 2012. Dr. Mandle is an art historian, curator and academic administrator. His talk will focus on his interest in the impact of one culture on another and right now the Middle East is the most fertile place for that.

August 19: John Marion – Executive Director of Common Cause Rhode Island. His responsibilities include serving as the organization’s Chief Lobbyist and spokesperson in Rhode Island. He will discuss how Common Cause’s mission works in promoting representative democracy in our state. John’s talk will be entitled "Inside the Rhode Island Legislature."
August 12: Catherine Taylor – Director of the Rhode Island Division of Elderly Affairs. She is the former GOP candidate for Rhode Island Secretary of State. Catherine will discuss the state of aging in Rhode Island including its plan on Alzheimers and how the Affordable Care Act affects the 55+ generation. She will talk about what Elderly Affairs does; trends of aging in Rhode Island and some big ideas to think about and act upon.
