In the show author/director Ricardo Pitts-Wiley uses stories, poetry, and music to highlight the delicate and dangerous terrain that Black men must navigate in order to live in America. It is a life that is full of music, love, and laughter that must be balanced against a daily struggle for survival.
Five Black men of various ages talk about their lives, hopes, fears and the living experiences that have shaped their lives and influenced American history and culture.
