Humanities Festival 2017: Public Threads in the Humanities

Buoyed by the success of the English department being awarded a NEH Next Generation PhD Grant, the Center for the Humanities decided to dovetail our 2017 Festival celebration as they explore options in the Public Humanities.

We have assembled a powerful panel of four presenters from diverse backgrounds that approach the Public Humanities in unique and engaging ways.

Our panelists are:

Christina Bevilacqua, Conversationalist-in-Residence at Trinity Repertory Company Theater in Providence, RI.

Ryan Cordell, Assistant Professor of English at Northeastern University and core founding faculty member in the NULab for Texts, Maps, and Networks.

Shereen Marisol Meraji, reporter on race for the NPR Code Switch Team.

Lorén Spears, Executive Director of the Tomaquag Museum.
