"Home Base" program

"Returning Veterans and how Communities can support them." This presentation is by the Red Sox Foundation and Massachusetts General Hospital.

The purpose of this presentation is to help better educate Administrators, Student Vets, and Staff on campus about the clinical aspects and symptoms surrounding post traumatic stress and traumatic brain injury.

This program has clinicians that have developed 'tool kits" for schools regarding these invisible wounds and how they impact not only the student veteran but also their family or support system.

Due to the new GI bill, the numbers of student veterans and or their dependents attending URI have been steadily increasing.

This presentation is open to everyone.

INteresting review for a veteran with 28 years of service and direct contact in the medical field ... Former Marine Captain was the better of the two presenters, worthwhile and I suspect an eye opener for some ... deployment and return to normalcy are challenges for the entire family of the service member.
