Flatland: A Harrington School Book Club Event
Friday, November 30 at 1:00pm to 2:30pm
Join us for a discussion of Flatland, the satirical novella about the world of Flatland, where classes are distinguished using the Art of Hearing, the Art of Feeling and the Art of Sight Recognition. Written in 1884, this short book takes the reader on a journey to understand that we perceive our own world based on our limited viewpoint and to consider what else we might need to consider in order to understand (or even see!) other worlds. This event is free and open to the public.
Moderator: Lauren Mandel, Assistant Professor, GSLIS.
