The 2014 Alexander Cruickshank Lecture, will feature Dr. Dennis A. Dougherty, the George Grant Hoag Professor of Chemistry at California Institute of Technology. His research is focused on molecular neurobiology, applying the mindset and tools of physical organic chemistry to the complex proteins of neuroscience.
The Alexander M. Cruickshank Endowed Lectureship was established in 1999. The subject of the lecture rotates among chemistry, physics, and biology. Sponsored by the URI Department of Chemistry, the URI College of Arts and Sciences, and the Gordon Research Conferences.
