Behavior management in typically and atypically developing young children

Saturday, January 26, 2013 at 9:00am to 12:30pm

Multicultural Center, Hardge Forum 74 Lower College Rd, University of Rhode Island, Kingston, RI 02881, USA

Difficult behavior in early childhood is normative, but there are times when traditional behavioral management strategies appear ineffective. This workshop has three primary goals for participants: to understand the weaknesses of typical child management strategies, to identify common behavioral challenges in typically developing infants and toddlers and in young children with developmental disabilities, and to learn and apply practical strategies for addressing or preventing these behavioral challenges that are based on theory and research.
