Dr. Leonore Tiefer will be giving the Annual Schweers Lecture on Women and Health sponsored by the Gender and Women's Studies Program.
Her talk is: “The New “Female Sexual Dysfunction: A Story of Medicalization, Disease Mongering and Resistance”
Leonore Tiefer, PhD, is an author, researcher, clinical psychologist, sex therapist, and activist specifically concerned with the medicalization of women's sexuality. Dr. Tiefer has written widely on this topic and is currently Associate Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at both New York University School of Medicine and Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
