60 Minutes to Live: A Longer and Happier Life

FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
Professor James O. Prochaska invites you to join him on September 13 at 7 pm for an evening where he will combine the power of stories from experiences that changed his personal and professional life with the power of science from discoveries of the University of Rhode Island’s Cancer Prevention Research Center.  The Center has produced unprecedented impacts with very brief interventions on the health and well-being of individuals and entire populations.  Multiple examples will be presented of how 60 minutes or less of interactions have helped change the lives of individuals and entire populations.  The goals of this brief evening interaction are to learn and to laugh, to imagine and inspire and to increase our personal freedom to change.

Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Ph.D. programs in Psychology; 40th Anniversary of the Cancer Prevention Research Center (CPRC); Celebrating the Third Anniversaries of the Academic Health Collaborative (AHC); College of Health Sciences (CHS), and the Institute for Integrated Health and Innovation (IIHI).

Honoring the loss of Professor Wayne Velicer, the Co-Founder of and Co-Director of the Cancer Prevention Research Center (CPRC) and Professor of Quantitative and Health Psychology.  Recognizing 50 years of contributions from Professor James Prochaska and his phasing-out retirement.
